Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Russian forces has increased strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has called for "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What is required is not window dressing but firm measures - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in providing air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," was stated in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles attacked energy facilities, describing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the urban area endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were hurt.

The strikes follow evenings of air raids in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already affecting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
